All males get the silvery patch of hair on their back when they reach adulthood, but only one of them becomes the leader. As such he takes on great responsibility. He is the decision maker, the protector of the group, he must resolve conflicts and find new feeding grounds. He also has the exclusive right to mate with the females and produce offspring. That’s a lot of pressure on any individual... 

When the pressures of life get too heavy, I escape into my studio, play some music, immerse my hands into a slab of clay. On one recent occasion, this grumpy dude was born. Since then, my appreciation and admiration for this beautiful creature has been renewed!
